This year, too, there will be many initiatives planned in the city during the Christmas period: numerous events and special moments when the lights are turned on, the Christmas trees adorn the squares, and the shop windows fill with lights and colors. There will also be a festive atmosphere in the markets.

The city is bathed in the lights of Christmas and preparing to experience the magic of the holidays with over seventy events, including concerts, choirs, street performances, dance, music, and theatre: a programme both for adults and children.

Marching choirs and bands will fill the streets and squares of the city centre with traditional songs, swing, jazz, gospel, and spiritual music. There will also be street artists, acrobats, and puppets, an ancient carousel with horses in Piazza Santa Maria delle Carceri, "selfie spots" with lighted decorations for Christmas-themed shots in Piazza Duomo, Piazza Mercatale, Piazza San Francesco, and Piazza Santa Maria delle Carceri, and a Lilliputian train through the city center.
